Position Overview:

The Vice President, Client Solutions & Innovation will play a critical leadership role in defining and building a strategy to deepen the impact of our obstetrical and perinatal solutions and pursue solution expansion opportunities. This role will evolve, modernize, and execute our next-stage suite of solutions – including professional services, content and enabling technology – to increase value to clients and support growth. The Vice President, Client Solutions & Innovation will be responsible for contributing to Salus Global’s business strategy, augmenting Salus Global’s consulting operations, developing a comprehensive road map of services that aligns with our clients’ evolving needs and improving patient safety and quality of care. A key area of focus will be measuring our impact and profiling our contributions to positive outcomes.

As a key member of the Executive Team, the VP, Client Solutions & Innovation will report to the President and CEO and will work closely with other members of the Executive Team and Operations and Delivery Team to design, refine and evolve our current consulting practice and solutions as we partner with healthcare teams to fuel the best team-based obstetrical and perinatal care in Canada. This role requires deep experience in building and leading a high performing team, leading through transformative change, and a focus on delivering excellence in operations and the highest degree of client experience. Demonstration of ability to be agile in the face of a dynamic and constrained healthcare environment is a strong asset. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance client relationships, deliver strong client experience, optimize operational efficiency, modernize consulting practices, drive business growth, and ensure the delivery of exceptional consulting services to our healthcare clients.

 

Key Responsibilities: Working closely with the Client Success / Solutions leadership team:

Team Leadership and Development, Measuring Impact:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a qualified team of consulting professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Lead the team through organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining morale.
  • Develop performance measures to capture the impact of our partnership with healthcare teams.
  • Profile our impact through external communications – e.g., a national report that demonstrates our role in improving quality and safety with proof of impact.

 

Strategic Execution: Product/Content Development and Delivery:

  • Develop a strategic product strategy/roadmap that defines the services offered, tools, resources, underlying technology and staffing profiles.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the consulting services business.
  • Partner with other members of the Executive Team and Operations and Delivery Team to achieve operational plan.
  • Oversee the development of Salus’ content strategy and augmentation of sources of program content (clinical and non-clinical) that align with the company’s goals.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of an interdisciplinary council of physicians, nurses and experts to review and validate sources of updated content.
  • Oversee the development of a Community of Practice for clients.
  • Lead and deliver on a platform that meets the company’s needs, potentially innovating beyond traditional Learning Management System solutions.
  • Partner with Communications and Marketing and the VP Partner Development to develop and evolve branded assets (i.e., insights, case studies, webinars, etc.) that add value to prospective clients and client base.

 

Client Relationship Management:

  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to improve patient safety and quality of care.
  • Support the Client Solutions / Success management team by serving as the executive point of contact for escalated client inquiries and issues.
  • Ensure the effective management of client contracts and relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external partners.

 

Service Delivery and Quality Assurance:

  • Create and implement a delivery model that ensures consistent, high-quality services.
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality consulting services that meet client expectations.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of consulting engagements.
  • Continuously improve service delivery processes and methodologies.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with external stakeholders, including healthcare organizations, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to remain current with evolving trends and needs.
  • Identify and investigate strategic partnerships that augment the firm’s offerings, including shareholder organizations.
  • Develop and foster an external executive presence, including presenting to selected audiences to elevate our profile

 

Financial and Operational Management:

  • Develop and manage annual consulting services budgets and utilization targets.
  • Understand and evolve financial modelling related to the delivery of our consulting services e.g., staffing models, travel expenses, adherence to scope of client contracts, utilization and margin targets, etc.
  • Bring operational experience to standardize and modernize processes to ensure consistency in the execution of consulting services.
  • Optimize team workflows, evolve Salus’ professional services model, ensure effective time allocation and build capacity.
  • Implement frameworks that support the company’s approach and ensure consistency in service delivery.

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare consulting or a related field.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing consulting teams.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly interprofessional team-based care.
  • Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a strategic, creative and analytical Director of Marketing and Communications to lead our marketing efforts, raise our profile and enhance our brand presence. This position requires experience in brand positioning, strategic communications, website optimization and effective use of social media. The Director, Marketing and Communications is pivotal in driving our vision to fuel the best team-based obstetrical and perinatal care in Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and communications (ideally in the consulting and/or healthcare sectors), exceptional writing and communication skills, a collaborative work style and a strategic mindset.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, promote our services and build our external presence and deepen client loyalty.
  • Develop a compelling value proposition that profiles the value we bring and distinguishes us from competing organizations
  • Oversee the review and revision of our brand strategy, working closely with a branding partner
  • Create engaging, relevant content for relevant stakeholders using various channels, including digital, print, and social media. Grow our social media presence. Examples include creating insight papers, articles, webinars, case studies / client success stories, designing and producing webinars, and preparing marketing materials to support business development efforts.
  • Partner with Partner Development to leverage branded content to generate, and nurture leads and prospects
  • Conduct market research to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communications strategies and campaigns
  • Evolve and maintain current information on our corporate website
  • Collaborate with Salus’ internal team to develop tools and templates to work with clients, support partner development, and ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
  • Facilitate development of strategies and tactical plans and represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings as needed.

Communications

  • Develop and execute internal and external communications plans and messaging to support organizational goals

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in marketing and communications, with at least 3 years in a senior / managerial role.
  • Proven experience in the consulting services and/or healthcare industry, ideally with a focus on patient safety and quality of care.

OVERVIEW

The Change Consultant is a key member of the Client Success Team and significant contributor to Salus Global’s vision to fuel the best team-based obstetrical and perinatal care in Canada.

As a senior member of the Salus Global Client Success Team, the Change Consultant designs and develops action-based change strategies that will bring about the necessary shifts within our clients’ hospital environments to achieve their change vision. The Change Consultant leverages Salus Global’s flagship obstetrical and perinatal safety program, moreOB, and uses advanced approaches to influence interprofessional healthcare teams to achieve their change goals. This role works directly with the client at identified points in the program to develop a strategy with key execution milestones. The Change Consultant partners with an internal change management role, “Success Partner”, to customize the program experience to align with the client’s change vision.

The Change Consultant serves as a change leader* and services a range of clients at appropriate points in the change journey.

* Change Leadership – Change leadership is the function that influences and inspires action in others through a defined vision that brings about a needed change through agility and responsiveness.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Change Consultant is responsible for assessing and interpreting the strategic and operational changes necessary to support obstetrical and perinatal healthcare teams within their own hospital environments to successfully achieve their change vision. Serving as a change leader, the

 

Change Consultant identifies, helps to prioritize and designs change strategies and supports the Success Partner in developing appropriate change management processes and tools to execute the change strategy. With feedback from the Success Partner, the Change Consultant evaluates progress and adjusts as necessary to drive success. The Change Consultant plays a critical role ensuring alignment of change initiatives with organizational priorities by engagement with the client’s senior leadership. This role works directly with all levels of a client organization to create a sense of urgency and importance about the change linked to the impact.

  • Working closely with the Success Partner, Partner Development and directly with client organizations:
    • Assess clients’ needs, lead them in creating a change vision and design appropriate change strategies aligned with the change vision.
    • Leverage a working knowledge of the moreOB program and a thorough understanding of the client’s vision to customize a change management program for implementation by the Client Success Specialist.
    • Identify appropriate opportunities to include a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and work directly with the SME to ensure engagement objectives are met
  • Design a communication plan to ensure information is communicated to the right client audiences, at the right time, in the right way, throughout the duration of the program.
  • Serve as the account leader for the client engagement, ensuring that the team is working against contract terms and utilization targets, identifying risks in the engagement, assessing quality of deliverables and reporting to the VP Client Success on a regular basis
  • As necessary, and with the Success Partner, assess and develop risk and resistance mitigation tactics.
    • Support the Success Partner in creating change enablement strategies and plans.
  • Guide the development of and help deliver presentations to senior or mid-level leadership within client organizations, in collaboration with the Success Partner, identifying successes and opportunities related to their progress towards their change vision.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable, senior resource in identifying opportunities to bring Salus Global’s full scope of services and solutions forward.
  • Participate in professional development activities including in-house or external training sessions and formal and informal coaching opportunities. OVERVIEW

The Success Partner (SP) is a key Change Management* member of the Client Success Team, and partners with interprofessional healthcare teams in hospitals across Canada to strengthen the way they work together, thereby improving quality of care and patient safety. The SP, along with senior members of the Client Success Team, customizes the change management components of Salus Global’s proprietary solutions to align with our clients’ change visions, and then executes on these components to drive client success. The SP collaborates with client teams to implement change management strategies and plans to maximize participant engagement, extract full value from the programs, and anticipate and mitigate obstacles to the team’s success. The Success Partner helps drive improved adoption and higher utilization and proficiency with tailored change strategies to bring the greatest value to the client team and generate desired results.

 

*Change management is the function that prepares, equips and supports our client’s day-to-day activities to successfully adopt change through the use of processes, tools, and mechanisms to drive success and outcomes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Success Partner is responsible for ensuring a client’s change plan and experience meet the program goals and objectives based on the identified plan of action. Working with the Change Consultant and other senior members of the Client Success team, this role works closely with client teams to execute the specific change management components identified as part of the client’s change vision.

  • Apply approved change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
  • Leverage Salus Global’s platforms and processes to provide an effective approach to the client situation, including readiness, environment, focus, cultural awareness, etc.
  • Develop, deliver, and manage communication, stakeholder, engagement, adoption, and resistance management plans
  • Ensure information is communicated to the right client audiences, at the right time, in the right way, throughout the duration of the change plan
  • Identify, analyze, and prepare risk and resistance mitigation tactics

  • Create or significantly contribute to change enablement strategies and plans
