Overview
The Director, Project Management and Corporate Initiatives is responsible for planning and managing the coordinated execution of strategic and operational initiatives. This role serves as a point of intersection between executive leadership, internal work groups, and external partners — ensuring that business priorities are supported by clear project plans and effectively implemented and communicated. The Director, Project Management and Corporate Initiatives is also accountable for optimizing the use of technology and reporting to support information sharing and decision making to achieve desired outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management experience, strategy and business operations expertise, and technical fluency. Experience with strategic sourcing and vendor and contract management, SaaS licensing and optimization is required.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Translate strategic and operational plans into actionable project roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.
- Lead, manage and track project tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure progress against milestones.
- Support the executive team and internal work groups / users in executing the initiatives, ensuring appropriate integration and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Source and manage relationships with external vendors and partners.
- Proactively identify risks and issues, ask the right questions, and propose solutions to keep projects moving forward.
- Support executive leaders with follow-up on action items, ensuring accountability across teams.
- Facilitate clear and professional communication—both written and verbal—with multiple stakeholders.
- Provide concise project updates and reports to executive leadership as needed.
- Ensure documentation and project information is organized and accessible.
Operational Excellence
- Support Corporate Initiatives through generating reports to support decision-making and oversight of strategic initiatives. Leverage technology and existing software tools and systems.
- Support and lead regular Corporate Initiatives meetings to facilitate collaboration and information sharing and alignment to organizational priorities.
- Create and leverage standardized project management frameworks, reporting, tools and best practices to build internal capacity.
- Review and elevate documentation and file management practices across the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across business processes and systems.
Reporting and Data-Driven Insights
- Develop and maintain executive and operational dashboards to support decision-making.
- Oversee data collection, validation, and reporting across multiple systems and projects.
- Provide concise, actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Leverage tools such as Excel and BI platforms to analyze and present structured data.
- Contribute to the development of business cases / success metrics for key initiatives.
Technology Implementation / Optimization
- Working closely with the Director, Technology, lead and support the implementation (where applicable), optimization, and ongoing enhancements of internal systems – including Salesforce, Certinia, Docebo LMS platform, Birdview, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ensure successful deployment, user adoption, reporting, and performance tracking of technology platforms.
Qualifications & Skills
- 10+ years of experience in project management and implementation of operational priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field.
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects simultaneously (both technology implementations and non-technology projects).
- Demonstrated success translating strategic priorities into executable plans and tracking outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken).
- Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Skilled in fostering collaboration and maintaining strong relationships across diverse teams.
- Comfortable working independently while keeping leadership informed and aligned.
- Proficiency with project management tools.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with structured data (CSV files, dashboards, exports).
- Familiarity with data flows, system integrations, and technical concepts.
