We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. W. Todd Watkins as Chair of the Salus Global Board of Directors.
Dr. Watkins serves as Associate Chief Executive Officer at the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), where he leads enterprise strategy, organizational transformation, and corporate services. His long-standing commitment to supporting physicians and the broader healthcare profession, together with his background in governance, patient safety, and physician engagement, brings valuable perspective to the Board.
As Chair, Dr. Watkins will help guide Salus Global as the organization strengthens and expands partnerships with healthcare teams, integrating evidence-informed practices and enhancing team performance in high-risk environments.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to Catherine Gaulton as she concludes her term as Board Chair. As CEO of the Healthcare Insurance Reciprocal of Canada (HIROC), Catherine brought a wealth of experience in healthcare risk management and corporate governance to the role, along with thoughtful counsel that helped guide the organization through a period of meaningful change.
