Position Overview:
Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President, Quality Programs and Performance will develop and lead strategies to deepen the impact of our obstetrical and perinatal solutions and pursue solution expansion opportunities. This role will evolve and modernize our next-stage suite of solutions. Experience leveraging technology and strategic partnerships will be key to increasing value to clients and driving impact. This new leadership position will contribute to Salus’ business strategy, with an emphasis on program success and capturing our impact as we partner with our clients to improve patient safety and quality of care.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of systems thinking, healthcare knowledge, and results-driven insight to support transformation and measurable improvement. Working closely with our Medical Director, this role will develop and lead external engagement strategies, serving as Executive Sponsor for our multidisciplinary Clinical Steering Committee, and leveraging the meaningful engagement of our client partners through our Partner Advisory Council. Through collaboration, this role will design, refine and evolve our solutions, practices, approaches and methodologies as we partner with healthcare teams to fuel the best team-based obstetrical and perinatal care in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evaluation of innovative programs and solutions to improve patient safety and quality of care, with a focus on obstetric and perinatal care.
- Identify emerging needs, pressures and challenges in healthcare
- Ensure Salus has relevant and effective programs and solutions to address those needs and challenges
- Measure and report on the impact of these programs on the complex issues facing healthcare teams
- Content Oversight and Accountability: Alongside the Medical Director, lead the creation, ongoing evolution, and maintenance of relevant program content and assets, ensuring that all materials remain current, accurate, and impactful.
- Executive Sponsorship: Serve as Executive Sponsor of interprofessional advisory committees including our Clinical Steering Committee and Partner Advisory Council, fostering alignment and engagement to inform our offerings.
- Provide oversight for Subject Matter Experts – source, coach, manage qualified Subject Matter Experts as required
- Methodology and Approach Oversight: Guide the selection, development, and continuous improvement of program frameworks and approaches. Work closely with the Vice President, Professional Services to ensure their effective implementation.
- Serve as Executive Sponsor to deploy a technology platform that meets the company’s needs, potentially innovating beyond traditional Learning Management System solutions.
- Program Impact: Develop frameworks and approaches to systematically gather and report on program impact at the site level, provincial level, and national level.
- Source and collaborate with external partners and key stakeholders to incorporate input and inform measures and areas of impact, including healthcare teams, risk and quality managers, hospital leadership, regional and provincial representatives, and shareholders.
- Develop and evolve a Communities of Practice approach to deepen engagement and share insights across our partner base.
- External Engagement: Engage with external stakeholders, including healthcare organizations, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to remain current with evolving trends and needs.
- Identify and investigate strategic partnerships that augment Salus’ offerings, including shareholder organizations.
- Profile our impact through external communications that demonstrates our contributions to improving quality and safety – e.g., proof of impact.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Post-graduate degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in healthcare leadership, healthcare advisory services or a related field.
- Experience in Quality / Risk Management in healthcare
- Experience building and leading a consulting team
- Experience designing and developing solutions in healthcare to address underlying needs, including evaluation and measuring outcomes.
- Demonstrated skills in performance measurement / Quality Improvement / Safety principles
- Excellent client relationship management and communication skills
- Clinical experience is a requirement

OVERVIEW
The Change Consultant is a key member of the Client Success Team and significant contributor to Salus Global’s vision to fuel the best team-based obstetrical and perinatal care in Canada.
As a senior member of the Salus Global Client Success Team, the Change Consultant designs and develops action-based change strategies that will bring about the necessary shifts within our clients’ hospital environments to achieve their change vision. The Change Consultant leverages Salus Global’s flagship obstetrical and perinatal safety program, moreOB, and uses advanced approaches to influence interprofessional healthcare teams to achieve their change goals. This role works directly with the client at identified points in the program to develop a strategy with key execution milestones. The Change Consultant partners with an internal change management role, “Success Partner”, to customize the program experience to align with the client’s change vision.
The Change Consultant serves as a change leader* and services a range of clients at appropriate points in the change journey.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Change Consultant is responsible for assessing and interpreting the strategic and operational changes necessary to support obstetrical and perinatal healthcare teams within their own hospital environments to successfully achieve their change vision. Serving as a change leader, the
Change Consultant identifies, helps to prioritize and designs change strategies and supports the Success Partner in developing appropriate change management processes and tools to execute the change strategy. With feedback from the Success Partner, the Change Consultant evaluates progress and adjusts as necessary to drive success. The Change Consultant plays a critical role ensuring alignment of change initiatives with organizational priorities by engagement with the client’s senior leadership. This role works directly with all levels of a client organization to create a sense of urgency and importance about the change linked to the impact.
- Working closely with the Success Partner, Partner Development and directly with client organizations:
- Assess clients’ needs, lead them in creating a change vision and design appropriate change strategies aligned with the change vision.
- Leverage a working knowledge of the moreOB program and a thorough understanding of the client’s vision to customize a change management program for implementation by the Client Success Specialist.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to include a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and work directly with the SME to ensure engagement objectives are met
- Design a communication plan to ensure information is communicated to the right client audiences, at the right time, in the right way, throughout the duration of the program.
- Serve as the account leader for the client engagement, ensuring that the team is working against contract terms and utilization targets, identifying risks in the engagement, assessing quality of deliverables and reporting to the VP Client Success on a regular basis
- As necessary, and with the Success Partner, assess and develop risk and resistance mitigation tactics.
- Support the Success Partner in creating change enablement strategies and plans.
- Guide the development of and help deliver presentations to senior or mid-level leadership within client organizations, in collaboration with the Success Partner, identifying successes and opportunities related to their progress towards their change vision.

OVERVIEW
The Success Partner (SP) is a key Change Management* member of the Client Success Team, and partners with interprofessional healthcare teams in hospitals across Canada to strengthen the way they work together, thereby improving quality of care and patient safety. The SP, along with senior members of the Client Success Team, customizes the change management components of Salus Global’s proprietary solutions to align with our clients’ change visions, and then executes on these components to drive client success. The SP collaborates with client teams to implement change management strategies and plans to maximize participant engagement, extract full value from the programs, and anticipate and mitigate obstacles to the team’s success. The Success Partner helps drive improved adoption and higher utilization and proficiency with tailored change strategies to bring the greatest value to the client team and generate desired results.
*Change management is the function that prepares, equips and supports our client’s day-to-day activities to successfully adopt change through the use of processes, tools, and mechanisms to drive success and outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Success Partner is responsible for ensuring a client’s change plan and experience meet the program goals and objectives based on the identified plan of action. Working with the Change Consultant and other senior members of the Client Success team, this role works closely with client teams to execute the specific change management components identified as part of the client’s change vision.
- Apply approved change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
- Leverage Salus Global’s platforms and processes to provide an effective approach to the client situation, including readiness, environment, focus, cultural awareness, etc.
- Develop, deliver, and manage communication, stakeholder, engagement, adoption, and resistance management plans
- Ensure information is communicated to the right client audiences, at the right time, in the right way, throughout the duration of the change plan
- Identify, analyze, and prepare risk and resistance mitigation tactics
- Provide a customized approach to meet the change vision
- Create or significantly contribute to change enablement strategies and plans
- Provide presentation support, when identified by the Change Consultant
- Support client sessions, including needs assessments, by capturing discussions and insights
- Track, monitor, measure and report risks, resistance opportunities, success metrics, and change progress using various tools and assessments
- Collaborate and manage relationships with the client teams (Core Team, Leadership, etc.) and the Salus Global Client Success Team to ensure the successful execution of the end-to-end change management strategy
- Coordinate and schedule client connects with the Salus Global Client Success team, as required
- Build presentations for various levels of the client organization, identifying successes and opportunities related to change management functions
- Understand the full scope of services and solutions that Salus Global offers its clients, and be capable of fully describing these services and solutions with assigned client teams including client leadership, as appropriate
- Actively seek opportunities to expand the value Salus Global offers within assigned portfolio (e.g. be alert to issues affecting team effectiveness in other clinical areas) and bring to the attention of senior members of the Client Success Team or the Vice President, Business Development.
